Los Angeles author Elizabeth Little's debut novel Dear Daughter, described as Mean Girls meets Gone Girl, is set to be one of the smash hits of the summer with its combination of crime and humour.

Released August 14, Dear Daughter stars a narrator who's recently been released from jail on a technicality after serving ten years for the murder of her mother and is determined to unravel the real story of her death. Bestselling authors Kate Atkinson and Tana French are among those who've already endorsed Little, with Atkinson describing it as a 'gutsy, clever, energetic read' and French calling it 'the best debut mystery I've read in a long time'.
